Mr. Marvel joined West Long Branch School District as The District Information Technology Coordinator in July of 2012. He began his career as an IT Director/ bookkeeper in fast-paced Mid-town Manhattan in 2001 for Condor Securities Inc. a Broker/Dealer which provided financial consulting for high net worth individuals/corporations predominantly from Mexico. His responsibilities included: Corporate cost accounting, Compliance for FINRA and SEC Audits, Financial Statements, End of year audits and statements to share holders. In 2006 he was named Controller and remained in the officer's position until February of 2012. Currently, Mr. Marvel oversees all district technology including the networking, hardware and software. He has a strong background in Information Systems Technology and troubleshooting. He helped advance the use of adaptive technology for students with disabilities for the special services department of The University of Texas at El Paso.

He also served as project manager for TXDot GIS Center for Research as well as Network Administrator for The Center for Structural Integrity of Aerospace Systems, a NASA funded project for the Department of Civil Engineering at The University of Texas at El Paso.

He interned with Merrill Lynch during his undergraduate program at UTEP.
